Ethics codes can be very useful for setting out our values concisely and helping others to understand and use them. However, they are starting point and not an end in themselves. The Ethical Space focuses on how such codes form one element of a co-ordinated ethical framework. The article here by David Jackman of The Ethical Space, is from Training and Competence News and explores some of the key issues.
The ethics focus is relevant to financial services and is an expression of strategies that capture the spirit of regulation rather than the detail of the rules - specifically the FSA Training and Competence rules that were established by David Jackman
