We have, at various times, discussed the idea of a landmark ethics conference to stand in contrast with the World Economic Forum in Davos. Many have suggested that this is a timely idea and could attract support. It could also act as a concrete step in re-positioning Ambleside campus and Armitt. This is part of forwarding the concept of a centre of excellence in ethics, sustainability and community in the central Lakes, where so many social movements have started.
At a recent meeting at Brantwood there was general enthusiasm for the idea.
Attached is an outline proposal and suggested topics for speakers.
Let us know what you think.
