The Big Society

The Big Society launched 19/7/10 is supported by the BS8904 draft national standard for Sustainable Communities - see the Sustainable Communities page here and find how the framework under development can help encourage and draw together community initiatives. A practical pilot is taking place in Grasmere, The Lake District.

The big society concept is also in line with the principles set out in the 21st Century Charter - see 'Seeing things Differently'
